Been struggling to remove the Ruckstell outer bearing sleeve. It was obviously misoriented; sort of one edge sticking out beyond the housing, and had rotated to the point that the orientation nib was not in the hole. If you look at a prior posting, you will see that the bearing was in nice shape. But something was up with the sleeve.
In addition to what I mentioned, it was also "bigger" i.e. my homemade sleeve removal tool had to be tapped into place with a hammer, versus on the standard side where it just dropped in.
Finally, I took a pickle bar and used a 2 ton jack as shown. Popped right out.
