The Ruckstell is assembled. Here is a list of the parts that had to be replaced.
- Gear Pins
- Bronze Thrust Plate
- Bearing
- New bolts
- Axles
- P160 Differential Housing
- Ring gear
With the cost of the unit itself, I am into it several hundred bucks. I am really, really, lucky, as I found this sitting in the dirt, did not have the opportunity to perform more than a cursory outer inspection of the unit. I also had to sacrifice a rebuilt standard rear end, though I was able to sell the inner differential to recoup a very small part of this cost. Had just a bit more gone wrong, I would have been close to the price of a new one via Chaffin's. An original, early one, has been saved in the process.
