The bearing on the thrust plate should be a press fit. Mine was a loose rattle fit. Six thousandths at least with the bearing pushed to one side. It is an early 10 hole Hall-Scott plate. Concluded with the help of Dave at Chaffin's and my engineer brother that this was too far out to recover, that this design had its issues anyway, so a new one coming from Chaffin's.

Bronze Thrust Plate Issues
