I was utterly resolved not to own the only cream-corn yellow Model T in history. The question became, how do you paint it something else.
The paint was not of quality anyway, as there were sections where it was peeling already.
My first inclination was to hand sand in place and spray. I quickly realized I would never get a paint job that would look anywhere close to competent. The next plan was to disassemble, strip, sand, and repaint. Everyone around me were convinced I had noooooo idea how hard that would be. Actually, I did, but was determined not to pay for blasting. But, blasting won the day as the only realistic solution. My boss was kind enough to give us all a 4-day July Fourth, so figured it was time. Here we go... hope it goes back together some day...
