I had REAL concerns about taking the axle and drive shaft assemblies to media blast. The blaster and others told me I was worrying too much. Here the axles are sealed with Gorilla Tape. I filled the pumkin with rags and sealed that as well with tape.I took the drive shaft and bagged the ends, then sealed.
This in fact did not work, grit was everywhere. Fortunately, it did not matter in the end, as I ended up disassembling and cleaning everything anyway, as you will see.
