
The outer seal and bearing came right off the Ford side, in the standard way. But on the Ruckstell side, found this odd seal cap that just would not come off. I could not find anything about it, and was worried it was some unique expensive Ruckstell part that I was fixing to destroy. A post to the MFTCI forum yielded advice to 1) use a bigger hammer 2) and someone actually had an original ad for the cap. Turns out it was some after market deal to prevent seal leaks onto the brakes, not a Ruckstell part.
Bigger hammer won the day.
