Based on the fact I have a bronze shifter, a serial number in the low 20000s and what I think is a 6/23 date on the bearing, mine is an early one. Here it is how it looked removed after a good soak in diesel.
From what I read, Hall - Scott / Grover Ruckstell completed discussions to purchase the Perfecto in late 1922.
In a really strange convergence, the cast date on my T engine is 5/31/1923. If the stamp on the bearing is truly June 1923, I have got myself quite a matched set!
